Friday 11th July

Somerstock

Somerstock is a two-day family-friendly music festival in the heart of the picturesque Somerset town of Somerton. The Somerstock site sits at the edge of the town and provides on-site parking and camping facilities.

The musical lineup for Somerstock 2025 includes a great mix of fantastic acts including Cut Capers, The Britpop Boys, Big Brass Ska and Snappa.

Somerstock opens on Friday 11th July with an evening of specially selected live bands and continues on Saturday 12th with a full day and evening of continuous music. Each day will bring its own special vibe to the festival.

The popular function band Snappa head up Friday evening's entertainment playing covers to dance the night away. The evening runs from 6.00pm to 11.00pm with food stalls and bars. Gates open 4.00PM and close 11.30PM. Alongside Snappa, there will be Northampton based Ska rap party punk Karl Phillips and The Rejects, local covers band Cover All Bases, and back by popular demand Harri Pick who opened the Saturday of Somerstock last summer, along with local DJs to keep the party swinging.

Saturday's acts will include a wide range of live music providing continuous sounds across two outdoor stages and marquee. Gates open at 11am with music from 11:50 am through to 11.20 pm with the gates closing at 11:45 pm.

Bristol favourites Cut Capers bring ultra-high-energy and epic arrangements with booming brass hooks and scintillating solos. The Britpop Boys take their audience back to the hazy days of 90s British pop music. Nick Parker and the False Alarms have been described as 'a British arcade fire' and Bristol band Taynee Lord brings high-octane country music straight from Nashville to Somerton. Festival goers also will be dancing to covers of all the old tunes from the likes of Bad Manners, The Specials and Madness with Big Brass Ska, plus more great covers from Balance of Power and reggae from Big Hands. Local favourites Craig and Alex Priddice will open the proceedings, and all acts will be interspersed by DJs playing a wide range of popular music.  An early arrival is therefore recommended.

Also on offer will be children's activities, retail stalls, food stalls and bars as well as the ever-popular silent disco will be in full swing on the Friday and Saturday evening for the adults with live DJs, and a special kid's session on Saturday afternoon.

There are a wide range of ticketing options, with a great value for money family ticket and children under 12 go free.
