Rock star Jack Bessant will be playing at a fundraising concert for Wells Skatepark's £350,000 modernisation appeal. Bass guitarist Bessant is one of the founding members of West Country band Reef. He and The Cheddar Experiment Band will be playing at Cedars Hall on Saturday,  October 8.

The band's line-up includes ex-Wells Cathedral School student Julian Bath (K-Passa) and Damon Reece (Massive Attack, Spiritualised).

 Reef have supported the Rolling Stones, Coldplay and Paul Weller amongst many others.
