On one of the hottest evenings of the summer so far, the LL Sports Bootcampers took on the Wells RFC players in a team fitness challenge.
More than 40 Wells Rugby players making up four teams and 20 Bootcampers making up two teams sweated it out in a 30-minute maximum repetition competition.
Incredible effort and teamwork was shown by all with most completing more than 1,000 reps individually.
The highest score was achieved by completing more than 400 burpees which were awarded double points in the time allowed.
Pre-season training at Wells RFC is now in full swing with coaches Al Simons and Andy Perrin seeing more than 40 players regularly attending training on Tuesday and Thursday nights.
The club is always open to new players so check out the Wells RFC facebook page for up to date information.
The players are certainly looking ready to take on an American touring side in a pre-season friendly at the club on Saturday 3rd August, kick-off at 2.30pm.
The first league game of the season will be away to Nailsea and Backwell on Saturday 7th September.
LL sports run Bootcamps in the Wells area on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Check the LL Sports - Strength & Conditioning - Bootcamp page on Facebook or email [email protected] for more details.
