A bored Wells dad has created the ultimate fort for his son out of cardboard boxes during the coronavirus lockdown - complete with a moving drawbridge.

Steve Wilson, 52, built the impressive structure - dubbed 'Castle Covid' - over a four-day period while in isolation.

Wells Classic Motorcycle Club has cancelled the 2020 Tortoise and Hare Run which was to be held on Sunday, June 7 because of the coronavirus outbreak.

"This is a big disappointment to us all as it was the event's tenth year and we hoped to make it a bit special," said organiser Chris Weeks.
