Freddie and Harry Beasley from Wells have helped their family set up a food delivery service that provides fresh fruit and vegetables to key workers and vulnerable self-isolators.

Twelve-year-old Freddie and 13-year-old Harry have helped to deliver almost 400 Somerset Hampers, which contain fresh produce including fresh fruit, vegetables, dairy and meat boxes, to Wells, Shepton Mallet, Glastonbury, Somerton, Bristol, Bath and Street.

A crowdfunding campaign set up to support Wells City Football Club during the coronavirus crisis has raised nearly £4,000 in just one week.

Set up a week ago by Wells City chairman Steve Loxton, at the time of writing (11am on April 20) the JustGiving campaign has seen £3,783 pledged already from 39 supporters, towards the overall total of £6,000.

The National Police Chiefs' Council and College of Policing has published a document, reproducing a practical guide by the Crime Prosecution Service, to explain to officers what constitutes a 'reasonable excuse' to leave home.
