Villagers in Coxley will get the chance to visit the site of the planned Coxley Holt community building this weekend as part of the village's jumble trail.
The land has now been registered, so thanks to the generosity of Mr and Mrs Roberts who lived at the Pound Inn for many years, half the field between Wellsway and Mill Lane now belongs to the community.

The Bishop's Palace in Wells has announced that is has received £250,000 from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to help it to address the impact of the coronavirus crisis.
Since the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown, the palace has been doing its best to mitigate against the worst.

The head teacher of Wells Blue School has praised the "marvellous group of young people" who have received their GCSE results today (August 20).
Mark Woodlock said the school was delighted with the results, especially considering the challenging circumstances that the coronavirus crisis created for the students.

Wells Police Station looks set to become a retirement development after contracts were exchanged for the site.
Churchill Retirement Living confirmed on the business social media site LinkedIn that it has exchanged contracts on the site, as part of land acquisitions across the country.

A tiny gold ingot that was found on a farm in Wookey has officially been classed as treasure at an inquest today (August 19).
The ingot is believed to be Anglo Saxon and from the seventh century, and was found by Simon and Michael Hasnip, back on April 17 2017.
Mendip District Council has announced that Easton and Frome have been chosen to take part in its manual weed management trials.
Volunteers in the Somerset village and town are being asked to step forward and sign-up for the scheme. The council is to hold its first hoe-down on September 26 and 27.
