All of the Wookey Primary School children - from preschool through to year 6 - recently celebrated their own "Wookey Fest", perfectly timed with the start of Glastonbury Festival.

The atmosphere of the festival reflected the strong sense of community and wellbeing within the school. Every child and member of staff enjoyed the afternoon together, including the caretaker who danced his way through the afternoon. There was live music from DJ Colin, lollies and homemade lemonade, as well as activities including jewellery and crafts, face painting, glitter tattoos, space hopper races and the building zone providing entertainment for all the children.

The school recognises the importance of forging strong, supportive relationships to get the best from everyone, and events such as these represent their commitment to this approach. If you are interested in what else they have to offer, give them a call to find out if they have any spaces in your child's year group and they will be happy to show you around at a time that suits you. They would particularly welcome those moving to the new homes in their catchment area of Priory Fields, Rose Banks and Foxglove Heights to come and find out what Wookey Primary School is about.
