Mayor pulls a pint as Wookey Brewing Co. marks milestone at Swan Hotel relaunch

The Mayor of Wells pulled the first pint of a locally brewed award-winning beer as The Swan Hotel marked its grand reopening.
Cllr Tanys Pullin, the city's 651st Mayor, officially opened the revamped venue by pulling a pint of Witch Way Home, the flagship ale from Wookey Brewing Co.
The beer has already claimed a trio of top awards – including Taste of the West Gold, European Beer Challenge Gold, and World Beer Awards – and now has a mayoral stamp of approval to add to its growing list of accolades.
Samuel Cleaves, owner of Wookey Brewing Co., said: "Having the Mayor pour a pint of our beer at such a landmark location is a real honour. It's a celebration of local craft and Somerset community."
Witch Way Home is known for its unique hop blend and clean, dry finish. It forms part of a growing line-up at the independent brewery, which also produces vegan, gluten-free and alcohol-free options, along with its newly launched Jack's Cider.
The cider pays tribute to the Cleaves family, one of the oldest names from Pilton, where the brewery's roots run deep.
Wookey Brewing Co. offers free local delivery and continues to build a strong presence across Somerset events and venues.
