Looking for ways to spend your weekend in Wells? The city has a variety of events lined up to cater to different interests, from music and food festivals to family fun and community activities.

Start your weekend with a visit to Wells Cathedral, which is hosting 'A Cathedral Music Celebration' from Friday, 6 October, to Sunday, 8 October. The Cathedral will be a resonant space for appreciating the intricate acoustics and rich history of sacred music.

On Friday, Cedars Hall will also serve as a venue for two music events featuring countertenor Iestyn Davies. The first concert, in collaboration with the Cathedral Choristers, runs from 19:30 to 20:30. The second extends until 21:35. If contemporary music is more your style, The City Arms on High Street will feature local musician Sam Evans performing live from 20:00 to 22:00 on Friday.

Saturday offers something for everyone. A Repair Café hosted by Sustainable Wells will take place at Wells Library from 10:00 to 12:30. Here, you can bring in items in need of repair, promoting sustainability. Families can also join the 'Happy Little Ravers' event at The Blue School from 13:30 to 15:30.

If you're in the mood for some mental gymnastics, head to the 'Quiz & Puddings Night' at the Church Hall in Wookey from 19:00 to 21:30. Cap off your Saturday with live music from The Spies at Tramways on West Street from 20:30 to 23:30.

Wells Cathedral will also host a monthly social as part of the festival from 11:30 to 16:30. If you're feeling crafty, a 'Sunday Crafternoon' will be held at Bishop's Eye on Market Place from 14:00 to 16:00.

For those who prefer a relaxed atmosphere, coffee will be served at St Michael's Church in Dinder Village Hall from 15:30 to 16:30. Wind down your weekend with a 'Sunday Session' at The White Hart on Sadler Street from 16:30 to 19:00.
