Wells-based accountancy firm Probusiness has been acquired by OD Accountants, a chartered management accountancy firm located in London.

Established over 20 years ago by Martin Bowe, Probusiness has been offering a variety of accountancy services to firms in Somerset and increasingly in London.

The acquisition by OD Accountants will see Probusiness expand its services to include a range of additional cloud-based, digital accountancy applications. "Our aim moving forward is to use the mutual benefits this new development brings to both businesses and their clients," said Niall O'Driscoll, founder of OD Accountants.

Martin Bowe, who is stepping back from Probusiness, highlighted the importance of long-term client relationships as a crucial factor in the acquisition. "Niall clearly values what Probusiness does and how it does it," said Bowe.

The acquisition aims to benefit clients from both firms by offering complementary services. OD Accountants brings its specialisation in cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) accountancy systems to the existing Probusiness client base. In turn, Probusiness adds its specialised tax department as an extension to OD Accountants and its clients.
