There's plenty of family fun to be had in and around Wells over the next few days with a treasure hunt trail and a Halloween Spectacular. There's also a creative workshops, and a sustainable food conference.

Discover the treasures of The Bishop's Palace Gardens this October Half Term the Family Treasure Hunt Trail.

Trails can be collected on arrival and a small prize is available on completion!

Halloween Spectacular

Wookey Hole Caves

Calling all witches and wizards! Come and get into the spirit of Halloween at Wookey Hole, the home of Halloween. There are Halloween circus shows, spooky trails and treats for every child. You can look forward to learning how to broomstick ride and other fun activities that will entertain the family.

This is a free event running 10-3pm, for those involved with community food and growing projects. It will be an inspiring day of networking, workshops, stalls and wonderful shared food!

Plague at the Palace: Creative Writing Workshop

The Bishop's Palace

A one-day creative writing workshop based on the Black Death in Wells, 1348-1351.

Join historian Rev Dr Mark Hutchinson and author Beth Webb, co-authors of 'Broken Angels' the historical fictionalised history of events at Glastonbury Abbey in 1408, for a day of exploration, creativity and enjoyment at the workshop 'Plague at the Palace'.

Autumn polymer clay jewellery workshop
