Saturday, September 10

Martin Coppell Memorial Day

Horrington Cricket Club

A cricket match in memory of Wells 'legend' Martin Coppell. There will be a bar, food, live music, and a raffle with money raised going to St Margaret's Hospice.

Medieval Falconry Day

Bishop's Palace

If you're looking for a day out with a difference, don't miss The Bishop's Palace's Medieval Falconry Day on Saturday. Held on the South Lawn, against the stunning backdrop of the medieval Palace's Great Hall, Tony from specialist falconry firm, Raptorcare, will entertain crowds with a day of fantastic flying displays, fascinating information and beautiful birds!  Displays will take place at 12pm and 3pm.

 Defibrillator and CPR Training

Henton Village Hall

The chance to learn some potentially life-saving skills at this defibrillator and CPR training session. Places are limited so booking is essential.

Rare Plant Fair

Bishop's Palace

Building on the success of Rare Plant Fair's popular Spring Fair at The Bishop's Palace, they are returning in September for their Autumn Fair.

'We carefully select our nurseries to ensure that they are genuine growers who produce most or all of the plants that they sell themselves. The nurseries that exhibit at each fair are chosen so that we can offer the widest possible range of plants to our visitors, including perennials, shrubs and trees, alpines, bulbs and exotic plants.'

Family Theatre: The Super Greedy Caterpillar

Cedars Hall

Wild Words brings its latest family fun show and PlayShop to Cedars Hall, led by storyteller Michael Loader. All children must bring an adult with them.
