This weekend in Wells is shaping up to be an unforgettable mix of Halloween festivities and historical events, offering something for everyone in the community. From exploring Wookey Hole's haunted caves to time-travelling at the Bishop's Palace, locals and visitors are in for a treat—or perhaps a trick!

Wookey Hole has been transformed into the home of Halloween from the 21st to 29th October. The famous caves are hosting a special event that promises to bring an eerie atmosphere to the natural wonders. Not too far away, the Bishop's Palace is throwing it back to medieval times with their Medieval Weekend event, taking place this Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

If arts and crafts are more your scene, the South West Craft Fairs at Wells Town Hall is the place to be. Open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the event promises a range of unique handmade items that could make perfect gifts.

But the weekend is far from over. The White Hart is hosting a Halloween Party on Saturday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Then on Sunday, the Glitter & Glow Party at Henton Village Hall from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. is ideal for families with young children. For those looking to wind down, the White Hart's Sunday Sessions from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. offer a more relaxed atmosphere. If you're a bookworm, cap off the weekend with a Literary Quiz at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, also at The White Hart.

Adding to the weekend's events, from 21st to 29th October, families can enjoy an Autumn Family Trail at The Bishop's Palace Gardens. The trails can be picked up upon arrival, and participants can look forward to a small prize upon completion. This half-term event is included in any standard admission ticket to The Bishop's Palace.

Literary enthusiasts can also look forward to the Wells Festival of Literature, a much-loved event since 1992. The nine-day festival kicks off at Cedars Hall at Wells Cathedral School on Friday, 27th October.

Don't miss out on a packed weekend of fun activities for everyone!
