With Valentine's Day on the horizon, Wells has added yet another 'UK's most...' crown to its burgeoning collection.

Miracle Leaf, a wellness brand specialising in supplements and vitamins, has recently conducted a study to identify the UK's most romantic cities, offering couples unique getaway opportunities for February 14th. Their research covered 62 cities across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, pinpointing both the most and least romantic locations.

Bypassing other, larger cities, Wells has emerged as the prime destination for romance. Despite its compact size, Wells has 63 romantic hotels, 11 spots deemed perfect for couples, and a rich historical ambiance, easily outpacing larger neighbouring cities.

Close on Wells' heels, Inverness claims the second spot with its 495 romantic locales, followed by Bath, celebrated not only for its 411 romantic spots but also for its vibrant #Proposal scene on Instagram. The list also praises the romantic allure of cities like Ripon, Edinburgh, Truro, and York.

Conversely, Wakefield and Bradford were highlighted as the UK's least romantic cities, with London barely making it into the top 20, a surprising placement for such a renowned couple's destination.

Agnieszka Kozlowska, owner of Miracle Leaf, says: "Well(s) that was unexpected! With its historic charm and natural beauty, this small Sumeset city has always been idyllic. But it's the vast selection of romantic eats, accommodation, and activities that truly solidifies Wells as our top choice."

Still, just to make sure Wells doesn't get too big for it's britches, it's worth remembering the city is also (somehow) in the running for the title of 'most soul destroying town' (Yes, we know it's a city.) over at ilivehere.com,
