Wells shop Keepers reopens with fresh new look
By Laura Linham 10th Jun 2026
Keepers Wells has reopened with a fresh new look after more than seven years in the city.
The independent shop, on St Cuthbert Street opposite the church, welcomed customers back on Saturday after a behind-the-scenes reorganisation.
The refreshed space now includes new stock, upcycled furniture, home décor and Frenchic Paint products and accessories.
The shop said the revamp was a chance to give customers more inspiration for their next home project.
Despite relentless rain on reopening day, Keepers said the shop was busy, with customers enjoying cupcakes, special discounts and free gifts.
The business will continue to offer its professional bespoke furniture painting service, including kitchen units.
It will also keep making its handmade lampshades.
Keepers is also the local stockist for Frenchic paints and accessories.
The shop is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 10.30am to 4pm.
In a message to customers, Keepers thanked people for their continued support for the business and other small independent shops in Wells.
