This weekend Wells is set to host an exciting lineup of events, showcasing a rich blend of art, music, and community spirit.

The cultural journey begins with the Jennifer Bell Exhibition, running from the 17th to the 27th of November at Wells Cathedral. This exhibition is a must-visit for art enthusiasts, displaying the unique and captivating works of Jennifer Bell. It promises to be a visual treat, offering insights into the artist's creative vision.

Adding to the city's artistic vibrancy, the Souls of Our Shoes Exhibition opens on the 25th of November at Wells Cathedral. Running until the 10th of December, this unique exhibition explores the stories behind the shoes of the victims of domestic abuse.

On the evening of the 25th of November, Wells Cathedral will resonate with the sounds of Mediaeval Carols, as Zeb Soanes joins Opus Anglicanum for a special performance from 19:30 to 20:45. This event offers an enchanting musical experience, transporting audiences back to the mediaeval era through carols.

The same evening will see the Somerset Choral Society Concert at St Cuthbert's Church starting at 19:30. The concert promises a delightful evening of choral music, showcasing the harmonious talents of the Somerset Choral Society. It's an opportunity for music lovers to revel in the beauty of choral harmonies.

For those seeking a contemporary musical experience, the Explosive Light Orchestra will take the stage at Cedars Hall, from 19:30 to 21:30. Their performance is set to be a lively and energetic event, perfect for fans of vibrant and dynamic music.

The weekend continues with a peaceful Sunday Brunch on the 26th of November at Christ Church, Coxley, from 10:30 to 11:30. This brunch offers a tranquil setting for relaxation and enjoyment of good food.

Nature enthusiasts can look forward to a scenic 5-mile round walk on the Mendips, starting from Priddy Green at 11:00 and ending at 13:30 on the 26th of November. This walk is an ideal way to explore the natural beauty surrounding Wells.

Concluding the weekend's events, Sam Evans will perform at The White Hart, at 16:00. His music is set to provide a soothing and enjoyable conclusion to an eventful weekend.

And don't forget - you can catch the latest film releases at Wells Film Centre for just £5 until the end of the year.
