Wells roadworks for week commencing November 18

There will be temporary traffic lights outside of the Fountain Inn, Wells, this week to enable some Bristol Water work.

The multi-way lights will be in place from Tuesday November 19 to Thursday November 21, and there will be lights in St Thomas Street, Tor Street and at the junction of East Liberty and St Andrew Street.

During this time, Bristol Water will be replacing a leaking customer stop tap.

Other roadworks in Wells this week include:

From Tuesday to Thursday, Bristol Water will also be installing a talbot box and fitting a meter in Priory Road.

From Monday November 18 to Wednesday November 20, BT will be replacing the box at the bottom of Hawkers Lane and installing a duct in the pavement.

Streetlights are going to be replaced alongside the Wells Cathedral clock from Tuesday to Thursday.

Finally, the Western Power Distribution work in St Cuthbert Street to repair a cable fault should be completed by Wednesday.
