Wells roadworks for week commencing January 27

There will be roadworks outside of Waitrose in Wells this week, that are expected to cause some delays.

From Tuesday January 28 to February 3, there will be roadworks in Whiting Way for Western Power Distribution to dig a trench for a new supply.

Other roadworks in Wells this week include:

Multi-way temporary traffic lights at the junction of Princes Road, Tucker Street and Portway for Truespeed to clear blockages are scheduled to be removed by the end of Thursday January 30.

Western Power Distribution's work to install a new supply and substation that requires multi-way temporary traffic lights at the junction of Priory Road and Southover is scheduled to continue until February 5.

From Monday January 27 to Wednesday January 29, Truespeed will be working on the A39 Glastonbury Road to clear a blockage.

On Monday and Tuesday, Western Power Distribution will be replacing a decayed pole in Silver Street.

From Tuesday to Thursday, Bristol Water will be repairing a leak in Keward Avenue, while BT will be replacing a pole in Union Street.

On Tuesday, the Wales and West Utilities work to repair a gas leak in Mullins Close should be completed.

Finally, Bristol Water's work to install a talbot box and meter in St Cuthbert Avenue should be completed by the end of Tuesday.
