Residents in Wells are being invited to attend the City of Wells Annual Parish Meeting later this month.

The meeting will take place on Wednesday 11 March 2026 at 7pm at Wells Town Hall.

Organisers say the event gives people living in the city the chance to hear updates from councillors and raise issues affecting the local community.

The meeting is held under the Local Government Act 1972 and is separate from a formal Wells City Council meeting. Instead, it is a meeting of local government electors in the parish where residents can hear reports from councillors and discuss matters affecting the community.

While anyone can attend the meeting, only people registered to vote in local elections in Wells can formally speak or vote.

The meeting will end with an open forum, giving residents an opportunity to discuss matters of interest to the community.
