Wells is gearing up for a grand weekend of laughter with the Wells Comedy Festival set to return on 24-26 May 2024.

With more than 30 shows scheduled across three venues, the festival is nearly sold out, but a few coveted tickets remain.

This year's event will see comedy giants like James Acaster, Harry Hill, and Alan Davies take the stage, alongside other celebrated acts such as Nish Kumar and Lou Sanders.

Popular performances, including those by Harry Hill and Alan Davies, are already fully booked, with limited tickets left for several other notable shows.

Festival-goers can look forward to more than just comedy; Wells Comedy Festival is once again partnering with Copper Coffee to serve up coffee throughout the weekend.

Additionally, this year's festival will feature wood-fired pizzas from Little Blue Pizza for the first time.

The official Festival Bar will also make a comeback, offering the finest local brews from Wookey Ale and Sheppy's Cider well into the night—no entry ticket needed.

Ben Williams, Founder of the Wells Comedy Festival, said: "We couldn't be more excited to be bringing some of our favourite comics to Somerset. We've got so many fantastic acts bringing tour shows or working up new shows, as well as some really exciting new comics that we can't wait to champion."

For those interested, tickets are still available online at www.wellscomfest.com. Updates on additional ticket availability and other news can be found by following the festival on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram at @WellsComFest.

The Wells Comedy Festival is produced by Plosive and is set to be a major highlight in Somerset's cultural calendar this year.
