Parents and carers in Wells with children due to start school or move to their next school in September 2025 are being urged to submit their applications in good time to ensure they secure a place.

If your child is moving to Secondary or Upper School, applications are now open and will close on 31 October 2024. Parents can apply online via the Somerset Council website:

For those with children starting school for the first time or transferring to Junior or Middle School, applications can be made from 30 September 2024 to 15 January 2025. Visit the Somerset Council website for details:

Cllr Heather Shearer, Lead Executive Member for Children, Families and Education at Somerset Council, said: "It's crucial that parents in Wells submit their school preferences before the deadline. Be sure to include your local catchment school and attend open days to make the best decision for your child's future."

Parents and carers of children with an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) can find additional guidance through the SEND Local Offer:

Parents are encouraged to read the Primary and Secondary Admissions Guides on the council's website before submitting their applications.
