Whether you're desperate to escape your current nine-to-five, plotting a comeback after some time off, or just curious what else is out there, Wells has a fresh crop of job listings this week — and they're anything but dull.

From hands-on food factory work and overnight warehouse shifts, to care roles, classroom jobs, and hospitality in a care home with its own bar (yes, really), there's something for just about everyone. You'll find paid breaks, cheese perks, flexible hours, and a chance to swap the daily grind for something a little more rewarding — or just different.

If you fancy trading in your current gig for something a little more... cheddar-adjacent, a role as a production operative in Ditcheat might be your next move. Yes, it involves handling cheese. No, we don't know if you'll get to take any home.

If night shifts are more your speed, the logistics operative (nights) job in Wells offers paid breaks, subsidised meals, and a nice mix of scanning, stacking, and spotting hygiene issues in a high-speed environment.

Meanwhile, if you've got the heart for helping others (and a reliable apron), you could be the next kitchen assistant at a Barchester care home. Think hearty food, warm smiles, and bonus points if you can mash a spud without complaint.

Barchester is also on the hunt for a hospitality host to serve in its dining and bar areas — yes, there's a bar — or a night care assistant to keep things calm and caring when everyone else is asleep. Compassion, conversation, and a can-do attitude are musts.

Prefer chalkboards to chopping boards? There's a full-time primary teacher job in Wells for a qualified KS1 educator, and primary supply roles if you're more into variety. Both are through Hays, so expect the usual consultants and contracts setup.

Warehouse fans, don't panic — there's still plenty for you. The town also needs a logistics operative on a rotating shift. You'll stack dishes, scan stuff, and occasionally lift boxes heavier than your will to return after lunch. Perks include paid breaks, free meals, and actual progression opportunities.

More next week — or sooner if something juicy lands.
