If you're job-hunting in Wells, this week's listings include everything from classroom roles and care jobs to machinery maintenance and overnight logistics.

A Senior Carer – Residential Care Home – Bank is needed to cover shifts on a flexible basis. The role pays £17.30 per hour and involves leading a team of care staff, managing medications and liaising with GPs and families. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent is required, and night shift availability is preferred.

Two engineering roles are also up for grabs. A Maintenance Engineer and a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer are both being recruited by an employee-owned local manufacturer. Paying between £34,000 and £36,000 a year, these permanent roles include overtime, training, and profit share. You'll work Monday to Friday maintaining machinery, forklifts, and infrastructure.

A Geography Teacher is needed at a high-performing independent school starting this September. The role includes mentorship and training for early career teachers, access to modern labs and GIS tools, and fieldwork opportunities. Salary is competitive and based on experience.

If you've recently graduated, a Graduate Geoenvironmental Consultant post could be ideal. This full-time role pays £30,000 annually and offers flexible hours, early finish Fridays, and chartership support.

Looking for night shifts? A Logistics Operative – Nights role is available with a Monday to Thursday rota. Pay ranges from £12.88 to £15.65 an hour, with paid breaks and free meals.

A Hospitality Host is needed at a local care home, working 20 hours a week on daytime shifts with some weekend work. The pay is £12.71 per hour and duties include supporting residents at mealtimes and helping to create a welcoming atmosphere.

There's also a Bank Care Assistant role paying £15.05 an hour. The job involves assisting with daily living, food, drink, and companionship on flexible shifts.

Finally, teachers looking for variety can apply for a Secondary Teacher supply role, offering between £130 and £200 per day depending on experience. Positions are available for both short- and long-term cover.
