The Greek Taverna at The Sun in Wells has announced it will be closing its doors at the end of March after 11.5 years of serving traditional Greek cuisine to the local community.

Owners Olga and the team confirmed they will be saying goodbye to their customers on 31 March 2025, marking the end of an era for the much-loved eatery.

In a heartfelt message, they thanked their customers for their support over the years and invited diners to visit one last time before the closure.

For the final two weeks of March, the Taverna will be open for dinner and takeaway Tuesday to Saturday from 5:30pm, with lunch on Saturdays, breakfast on Wednesdays and Fridays, and a special Mother's Day lunch on Sunday, 30 March. The final farewell service will take place on Monday, 31 March, with dinner, takeaway, and a farewell drink.
