Residents of Wells are invited to attend a public hustings event for the upcoming General Election, scheduled to take place at St Cuthbert's Church on Thursday, 20 June.

The event will run from 7:30pm to 9:30pm, with doors opening at 7:00pm.

The hustings will be chaired by The Bishop of Bath and Wells, Michael Beasley, and will feature a range of parliamentary candidates from the Wells and Mendip Hills constituencies.

Candidates Joe Joseph (Labour & Cooperative), Tessa Munt (Liberal Democrat), Abi McGuire (Independent), Peter Welsh (Green), and the Conservative Party candidate have confirmed their participation. Helen Hims of the Reform Party is also standing as a candidate.

Organised by Churches Together in Somerset, this event promises a valuable opportunity for local voters to hear directly from the candidates, enabling them to make informed decisions at the polls.

Community members are encouraged to attend and engage with the candidates about their policies and visions for the area's future.
