Wells composer named among Somerset’s 30 future leaders
By Laura Linham 29th Sep 2026
Wells composer Quentin Taschini has been named among 30 young people recognised in a new countywide programme celebrating Somerset's emerging leaders.
The self-employed composer, who lives in Wells, is part of the first Somerset Future 30, created by Somerset Chamber of Commerce for people under 30 making a contribution to their work or community.
Taschini appears on a list spanning music, engineering, law, marketing, education and other sectors. The final 30 were chosen from nominations submitted by businesses and organisations across Somerset, with an independent panel drawn from the programme's sponsors making the selection.
David Crew, managing director of Somerset Chamber of Commerce, said: "The quality of nominations received for the inaugural Somerset Future 30 was outstanding and highlighted the wealth of talent we have across Somerset."
He added: "The individuals recognised this year have already demonstrated exceptional commitment, achievement and potential in their respective fields."
All 30 will be recognised at a lunch at Somerset County Cricket Club on Friday, 27 November. The full list of those selected is available on the Somerset Future 30 website.
