The festival, known for showcasing a mix of comedy legends and emerging talents, promises to be a weekend full of laughter and memorable performances.

Leading the new additions are comedy stalwarts like Harry Hill, known for his surreal and whimsical humour, and Rich Hall, whose sharp wit and stand-up prowess are much anticipated. Joining them are Sophie Duker, the winner of Taskmaster, and Kiri Pritchard-McLean, renowned for her appearances on Live at the Apollo.

The line-up also includes Nick Helm (Uncle, Live at the Apollo), Desiree Burch (Live at the Apollo, Mock The Week, QI), and Edinburgh Comedy Award nominees Amy Gledhill and Ian Smith. Further enhancing the festival's appeal are Michael Odewale, Alison Spittle, and Pat Cahill.

These names add to an already exciting roster featuring James Acaster, John Kearns, and Jessica Fostekew. With tickets for the Friday and Saturday Night Galas already selling fast, festival-goers are in for a treat as these galas will showcase an unannounced medley of acts from the festival.

Set across three days, the Wells Comedy Festival will take place in the historic Cedars Hall and Wells Little Theatre. Some of the notable shows include two work-in-progress performances from Harry Hill, a new stand-up act from Rich Hall, and sets from Sophie Duker and Kiri Pritchard-McLean.

As the festival approaches, anticipation grows with the promise of more acts to be announced. This year's Wells Comedy Festival is shaping up to be an extraordinary event, combining established comedy greats with new, exciting talent.
