Wells is bracing for a festive takeover next weekend as the Christmas Market returns with more than 100 stalls and live entertainment in the heart of the city.

The popular event runs from 9am to 3pm on Saturday, 6 December 2025, across the Market Place and Cathedral Green — promising handmade gifts, seasonal food and drink, crafts and music.

"It's one of the biggest events in the calendar," organisers said. "We're expecting a brilliant day with something for everyone."

Live performances and festive favourites will keep crowds entertained throughout the day, while local businesses will be joining in with special offers and shopfront displays.

Parking in the city centre will be limited, so visitors are being urged to travel in by bus or use nearby car parks including Waitrose (Whiting Way) and the Good Earth (Priory Road).
