Organisers of the Wells Christmas Market are celebrating the event's resounding success this year, as the annual festivities brought hundreds of visitors to the historic city on Saturday, 16th December.

The market featured over 100 stalls, transforming the city into a bustling hub of food, drink, and unique gift offerings.

Cllr Federica Smith-Roberts, Lead Member for Communities, Housing and Culture, said:. "It was an honour to open the Christmas Market alongside Wells Town Crier, Len Sweales. Seeing the community come together in such a vibrant manner, celebrating local talent and creativity, was truly heartwarming. This market exemplifies the strong community spirit of Wells."

Gratitude was extended to all those who played a part in the market's success, including local businesses, the Diocese of Bath and Wells, The Bishop's Palace, The Chamber of Commerce, the City Council, Somerset Council Officers, and the traders.

Their collective efforts ensured the market was a highlight of the festive season in Wells.
