Wells Cathedral is set to host a spectacular new sound and light show titled 'Crown and Coronation' in the new year.

This immersive experience, which originally launched at the Tower of London, is set to captivate Somerset audiences with its artistic portrayal of the Crown Jewels and their integral role in Coronation ceremonies.

Created by Historic Royal Palaces in collaboration with Luxmuralis, 'Crown and Coronation' offers a unique journey through the history and shared experiences of coronations.

The show features meticulously crafted artworks and custom musical compositions designed to engage visitors and highlight these regal ceremonies' cultural and historical significance.

Scheduled to run from Tuesday, 27th February to Saturday, 2nd March 2024, the event invites visitors to explore and interact with the installation at their leisure, creating a personal and reflective experience.

Set against the backdrop of Wells Cathedral's magnificent structure, the show promises to be a blend of artistic and architectural wonder.

After its successful launch at the Tower of London, 'Crown and Coronation' is now touring the UK, with Wells Cathedral being one of its few prestigious stops.

Details about the show, including ticket availability, will soon be updated on the Wells Cathedral website.
