In a celebration of cinema's most revered musical scores, Wells Cathedral will host 'The Best of Hans Zimmer & Film Favourites Illuminated' on February 16 and 17, 2024.

This event, featuring the London Film Music Orchestra, promises to be an immersive tribute to the legendary composer Hans Zimmer and a selection of iconic film music.

Audiences can expect to be enthralled by live performances of well-known pieces from blockbuster films such as Harry Potter, E.T., Indiana Jones, Superman, Star Wars, and Jaws. The event's format includes an early concert with entry from 6.15pm and a late concert starting at 8.45pm on both days, catering to a wide range of cinema and music enthusiasts.

Eventbrite, the platform for ticket sales, describes the concert as "an immersive tribute to Hans Zimmer and cinema's most iconic music with a live chamber orchestra illuminated by light!"

This description sets the stage for an evening that melds the grandeur of orchestral music with the magic of cinema, all within the setting of Wells Cathedral.

The concert will last approximately one hour and 15 minutes and ticket prices start from £34.74. However, it's important to note that the concert is not recommended for children under the age of eight.
