Wells Cathedral is set to host a stunning new light show, Space, by the award-winning artistic team Luxmuralis.

Running from Tuesday, 28th January to Saturday, 1st February 2025, the immersive experience will allow visitors to explore the cathedral in a captivating new light.

Each evening, from 6pm to 8pm, attendees can journey through the stars and planets in a mesmerising blend of light and sound installations projected onto the cathedral's historic architecture.

The show promises to take visitors on an immersive journey through space, prompting reflections on humanity's achievements and aspirations in the cosmos. With galaxies forming overhead and views of Earth as seen from the stars, Space aims to inspire awe and wonder while highlighting the vastness of the universe and our place within it. As visitors move through the cathedral, they will encounter scenes from the creation story, the Big Bang, and scenes from deep space, blending science, art, and spirituality in a unique spectacle.

Entry slots are available every 15 minutes, and tickets can be booked in advance online or purchased at the door, subject to availability. Visitors are advised to allow 45 minutes to an hour to fully experience the installations.
