Wells Cathedral has been ranked among the top 10 attractions worldwide, according to visitors.

The cathedral has been honoured with a 2024 TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice Award, recognising the glowing reviews left by people from across the globe.

The award, based on reviews and ratings collected over the past 12 months, celebrates favourite destinations and businesses worldwide.

Visitors have praised the cathedral's "stunning" Gothic-style architecture and "majestic beauty," and many have highlighted the exceptional tour guides who enhance the experience.

One visitor, Bretthodges from Santa Barbara, CA, described Wells Cathedral as "breath-taking, intimate, and ancient." He noted the "ancient, worn steps leading up to the Chapter House," calling it "one of the most astounding rooms" he has ever seen.

Juliet M, who visited with her family in May 2024, called the cathedral "absolutely breathtaking." She particularly enjoyed the paper birds art display and the accompanying music, which created a perfect atmosphere. Juliet also appreciated the informative guided tour included in the entrance ticket, praising the knowledgeable guide who highlighted hidden parts of the cathedral and shared its rich medieval history.

David P from Taunton, UK, lauded Wells Cathedral as "a beautiful example of the medieval builders' art, loaded with history."
