Wells Cathedral is laying on a packed Easter holiday programme with a trail, family craft sessions and seasonal food offers running from late March into April. The programme includes an Easter Egg Trail from Saturday, 28 March to Saturday, 18 April, with Easter Crafts sessions on selected dates in April.

The Easter Egg Trail will run daily from 9 am to 3.30 pm, with families invited to follow a trail map around the Cathedral, solve clues, find hidden eggs and complete an Easter puzzle. Children taking part can also make their own bunny ears before claiming a chocolate egg prize at the end of the trail.

The Cathedral said the trail is priced at £3 per child on top of admission. Standard Cathedral admission is listed as £5 for children aged five to 17 and £15.50 for accompanying adults, while under-fives go free. Children visiting with Cathedral Card, Residents' Pass and Parish Pass holders also receive free Cathedral admission, with the trail charged at £3 per child.

Easter crafts and café treats

The Easter Crafts sessions are due to take place on Wednesday, 8 April, Thursday, 9 April, Monday, 13 April and Tuesday, 14 April from 10.30 am to 3.30 pm. Wells Cathedral said families will be able to drop in and take part in creative activities including making necklaces, keyrings, miniature Easter gardens and personalised cards or decorations.

The craft sessions are included with Cathedral admission and do not need to be booked in advance. Visitors can simply turn up on the day.

Alongside the activities, The Loft Café is launching a special Easter menu featuring seasonal favourites including hot cross buns, Simnel cake and Easter cookies. The Cathedral Shop will also be promoting Easter gifts, children's books and craft kits during the holiday period.

Further details about the holiday programme are available on the Cathedral's Easter activities page.
