Plans by Ms Hannah Myatt to change of use of 5 Priory Road, Wells, from residential dwelling (Class C3) to dentist's practice (Class D1. Garage conversion and link to rear) have been approved.

Planning applications received this week include:

The installation of septic tank; retrospective permission for the erection of a reception and office building; erection of a facilities building; erection of 10 kennels; and use of fields for exercising dogs at Shamrock Stables, Lynch Lane, Westbury-sub-Mendip, is wanted by Miss Rosemary Peacock.

Proposed repairs to bridge leading to front door at 19 New Street, Wells, have been applied for by Nigel Findley.

Works to trees in a conservation area, T1 - Holly - Fell due to heavily shading the garden. T2 - Yew - Crown raise the lower branches for maintenance at St Lawrence Lodge, 37 Chamberlain Street, Wells, are wanted by Mr Chris Hood.

Proposed works to a tree in a conservation area: T1 - Fir Tree - Remove Left-hand and right-hand branches, reduce height x 50% at West View, Station Road, Westbury-sub-Mendip, have been applied for by Mr John Waters.

Applications decided this week include:

Plans for the demolition of a 4/5 Bedroom house with attached garage, demolition of two park homes and removal of one park home plot, the erection of 11 dwellings, consisting of seven three bed and four two bed houses and associated works at Homestead Park, Wells Road, Wookey Hole, by Mr Daniel Medley have been withdrawn.

An application to vary condition 2 (in accordance to drawings) of planning approval 2017/2723/FUL (Erection of a dwelling and provision of associated access and parking) to vary some elements of the design of the dwelling on a plot adjacent to 9 West Street, Wells, by Mr J Allen and Miss C Barnstaple has been approved.

Proposed change of use from school boarding house (C1) to offices (B1a) (description clarified 27.09.2019) at Canon Grange, Cathedral Green, Wells, by Mr T Bowes has been approved.

An application for approval of details reserved by conditions 4 (construction attachment details) on Planning Permission 2019/0662/HSE at South View, Church Street, Croscombe, by Mr and Mrs Watson has been approved. As has their application for approval of details reserved by conditions 4 (construction attachment details) on Listed Building Consent 2019/0663/LBC at the same address.

Proposed new detached equipment storage shed, extension and modification of gas storage compound and relocation of displaced storage shed at Caravan Park, Mendip Heights, Townsend, Priddy, by Mr Jes Dickin has been approved.

Erection of a dwelling on land at Pennybatch Lane, Burcott, by Lansdown has been refused.

An application for a non-material amendment to permission 2018/2744/REM and 2015/0527/OTA 1 South aspect - doors replace window, 2 East aspect - windows replace doors, 3 South aspect - single window in gable end, previously double on land south of Stocks Lane, North Wootton, by Mr and Mrs P Gordon has been approved.

An application to vary condition 2 (drawings) of planning approval 2015/2837/HSE to change ridge height and fenestratrion on approved porch at Levels House, Wells Road, Bleadney, by Mr Stephen Harris has been approved.

Subdivision of Stoberry House into two residential units at Stoberry House, Bristol Hill, Wells, by Mr Tim Young has been approved.

Extension to existing concrete track and concrete pad at Bristol Plain Farm, New Road, Priddy, by Messrs D Williams and Sons has been approved.

An application for approval of details reserved by conditions 3 (schedule of materials and finishes), 4 (external joinery), 5 (external facing materials) on listed building consent 2017/1527/LBC at Wookey House, Kennel Batch, Wookey Hole, by Mr and Mrs Alex Reilley has been approved. As has their application for approval of details reserved by conditions 3 (schedule of materials and finishes), 4 (external joinery), 5 (external facing materials) on planning consent 2017/1526/HSE at the same address.

Retention of log cabin on a permanent basis for occupation by essential equestrian workers following temporary permission 2016/1003/FUL, retention of amended residential parking area at Wellesley Lane Stables, Wellesley Lane, Dulcote, by Ms Rebecca Holloway has been approved.

Proposed single-storey rear extension with alterations to roof and windows at 7A Portway, Wells, by Mr John Devane has been approved.
