Plans are well under way for this year's Moat Boat Race, set to take place on Bank Holiday Monday, 26 August.

The City of Wells Lions, the event organisers, are calling on the community for assistance on the day.

The core activities will run from 11:30 am until approximately 4:30 pm, but help is needed from as early as 9 am. Volunteers who can offer flexibility in their availability are especially appreciated, though those able to help for specific time slots are also welcome.

Volunteering can be more enjoyable with company, so volunteers are encouraged to partner with friends or family members. Breaks will be ensured throughout the day.

If you can lend a hand, please contact Mary Ruth Ellis via email at [email protected] or by WhatsApp/text at 07966 507247.
