Unmissable events in Wells this weekend: From family fun days to sustainable swaps

Residents and visitors are in for a treat with an eclectic range of events this weekend.
Whether you're an art aficionado, a music lover, or a family seeking some quality time together, Wells offers an impressive calendar of activities.
The fun begins as early as Friday, 1 September, with a live performance by The Spies at The City Arms on 69 High St. The gig starts at 20:00 and promises to be an evening of energising rhythms.
If comedy's your cup of tea, Wookey Hole Caves hosts its Comedy Cavern on Friday as well. Goodentime 2023 is a can't-miss experience for the festival-goers at Garslade Farm Campsite in Godney, running from 1 to 3 September.
Come Saturday, 2 September, the Wells Repair Café — organised by Sustainable Wells — invites everyone to bring their broken items for repair. The event is hosted at St Thomas' Church on St Thomas St and runs from 10:00 to 12:30.
If you're a soul music enthusiast, don't miss the September Soul Shack at The Sheppey Inn in Godney, which takes place from Friday, 1 September, to Saturday, 2 September.
Sunday, 3 September, is jam-packed with activities for the entire family. Kick off the day with the Wells RFC Family Fun Day starting at 10:30 at Wells Rugby Football Club on Charter Way.
There's the Freecycle event by Sustainable Wells for those interested in sustainable living. The swap takes place from 12:00 to 13:00 on Priory Rd.
Music lovers will find solace at the Sunday sessions at The White Hart on 19-21 Sadler St. The event runs from 16:30 to 19:00 and is an ideal way to wrap up the weekend.
