A devastating collision on the B3135 Plummers Lane in Priddy, near Wells has resulted in two lives being lost.

The incident occurred yesterday morning (Sunday, May 28), leaving a pillion passenger in critical condition and currently receiving medical care at the hospital.

Avon and Somerset Police are urging witnesses to come forward and provide any information related to the collision.

The accident involving two motorcycles took place shortly before noon, and investigators are seeking eyewitness testimonies to assist with their inquiries.

"We are appealing for witnesses after two people sadly died in a collision yesterday (Sunday, 28 May)," stated a spokesperson from Avon and Somerset Police. "Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision involving two motorcycles on the B3135 Plummers Lane, Priddy, near Wells, at around 11.50 am."

Tragically, both riders lost their lives at the scene, while the pillion passenger was airlifted to the hospital, where they remain in critical condition. The authorities have informed the next of kin of the deceased individuals and extend their deepest sympathies during this challenging time. Specially trained family liaison officers are providing support to the affected families.
