Tickets are now on sale for Space, a breathtaking new light and sound installation by Luxmuralis, set to transform Wells Cathedral from Tuesday, 28 January to Saturday, 1 February 2025. Following their acclaimed 2024 collaboration with the Cathedral, Luxmuralis is bringing this spectacular immersive experience to Somerset, inviting visitors to see the historic venue in a whole new light.

Space takes guests on a cosmic journey, projecting kaleidoscopic displays across the walls and ceilings of the Cathedral, accompanied by an evocative soundscape. The installation, created by artist Peter Walker and composer David Harper, encourages reflection on humanity's place in the universe while showcasing the Cathedral's architecture in a mesmerising fusion of light and sound.

Speaking about the event, Alexia James, Commercial Operations Director at Wells Cathedral, said: "This incredible, immersive show has toured for a couple of years to rave reviews, so we're thrilled it's now coming to Wells in its new, updated format."

The installation will run from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. each evening, with entry every 15 minutes and the last admission at 8:15 p.m. Visitors can explore the Cathedral's transformed interior at their own pace, with the full experience lasting approximately 45 minutes to an hour.

Ticket Information

Tickets are priced at £12 for adults, £6 for children aged 4–17, and free for children under three. Carers can request complimentary tickets by contacting the Cathedral. Tickets are available via the Cathedral's website, and early booking is encouraged due to high demand.

Refreshments will also be on offer, with "Space Burgers" and "Space Dogs" (including vegan options) available for purchase.
