Knife-wielding robber injures man in Wells street attack

Police are investigating a robbery in Wells that left a 46-year-old man injured after being threatened by a knife-wielding assailant.

The incident occurred on Union Street between 3.50pm and 4pm on Sunday, 15 December. The victim was approached by another man who demanded money and issued threats while brandishing a knife.

During the confrontation, the victim sustained a cut behind his left ear. Fortunately, the injury did not require hospital treatment.

Police are now appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who might have footage that could assist with their investigation.

A police spokesperson said: "If you saw this incident or have any information that could help with our enquiries, please call 101 and provide the reference number 5224402692."

Residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity in the area.
