This weekend, Wells is the place to be for an eclectic mix of events that promise something special for everyone. Whether you're into music, art, or just looking for a fun family outing, our city has it all lined up.

Kick things off on Friday evening at Cedars Hall where the Solem Quartet is set to weave their musical magic. After a standout performance last year, they're back to delight audiences with their renditions of Debussy, Beethoven, and the Boulanger sisters. It's a perfect start to the weekend for classical music enthusiasts.

If pop tunes are more your style, then you won't want to miss "The Music of ABBA by Candlelight" at Wells Cathedral. Taking place both Friday and Saturday night, this event features the renowned tribute act, Abba Reunion. Imagine the majestic cathedral bathed in candlelight as the sounds of "Mamma Mia," "Dancing Queen," and other favourites fill the air – it's a sing-along experience like no other.

For those who fancy a more laid-back vibe, head over to The White Hart on Friday night. Local musician Sam Evans will be strumming his guitar and singing his heart out from 8:30 pm, offering the perfect backdrop for a relaxed night out with friends.

Art lovers will have their day on Saturday with the mesmerising "Peace Doves" installation at Wells Cathedral. Artist Peter Walker has filled the nave with thousands of paper doves, each inscribed with messages of peace. It's a visual feast not to be missed.

Sunday morning brings a community feel with Morning Worship at St Cuthbert's Church from 10:00 am. It's a wonderful opportunity to reflect and catch up with fellow residents.

And don't forget, The Square is hosting play sessions throughout the weekend, including a special after-school slot on Friday complete with a fish and chip meal. It's a great way for the kids to burn off some energy while parents relax.

And Wells Film Centre continues to run their films for a fiver offer - check out this week's line-up and grab your ticket now.

With such a variety of events, Wells is definitely the place to enjoy a slice of cultural pie this weekend!
