Dub Pistols, one of the most enduring names in the British music scene, are set to bring their infectious beats to Studio 24 in Wells on Friday, 25th October. Tickets for the event, which starts at 8:00pm, are priced from £22.50, plus a booking fee.

The band, renowned for their high-energy performances and genre-blending sound, will headline the night, which is organised by Supermix Sound & Lighting. Fans in Somerset can expect a mix of dub, hip-hop, and electronic music that has made Dub Pistols a staple of festival line-ups and live gigs for decades.

Formed in the late 1990s, Dub Pistols released their debut album Point Blank in 1998, following up with the albums Six Million Ways to Live and Y4K: Next Level Breaks in 2001. Over the years, the group has contributed tracks to a number of film soundtracks, including Blade II, Bad Company, and Piranha 3D. They have also produced remixes of popular tracks by artists such as Ian Brown, Limp Bizkit, and Moby.

In total, Dub Pistols have released seven studio albums. Their most recent, Addict, came out in 2020, and the band's latest project, Frontline, is set for release in March 2023.

Their music has featured in several video games, including Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, FIFA 99, and NBA Live 08. This broad exposure has cemented Dub Pistols' place in both the music and gaming worlds.

Support on the night will come from a talented line-up of local DJs, including VFTS (View from the Sea), Patmandu, and Danny B.

Burnham-on-Sea's VFTS, known for his chillwave and deep house mixes, will offer a unique coastal sound influenced by his upbringing and the Bristol music scene. Patmandu, a Pilton native with a love for vinyl-only sets, will provide a blend of house, dance, and electronica, a nod to his experiences growing up near the Glastonbury Festival.

Danny B, a former member of Skanky Generals, completes the line-up. With performances at major venues such as Bristol's Motion and appearances at festivals like Glastonbury, Danny B is known for his crowd-pleasing, bass-heavy sets.

Tickets are available now and expected to sell out fast. Don't miss this opportunity to see Dub Pistols live in Wells.
