Wells is set to charm visitors this weekend with a blend of uplifting music and vibrant community events. The United Voices concert at St Thomas’ Church brings together Glastonbury Male Voice Choir and PRP Contemporary Voices for a cause close to the heart of the city. Meanwhile, the local market scene promises plenty of treasures to uncover. With something for everyone, Wells is the place to be this weekend.

Friday, 22nd November

Start your weekend in Glastonbury at The Red Hot Jazz Club, where the renowned La Cubana Trio will bring authentic Cuban rhythms to life. This intimate evening, featuring Milly Riquelme on vocals and keys, will raise funds for the Red Brick Building's restoration project. Why not make a night of it and enjoy a Jazz Supper alongside the show? Tickets are available online now.

For those near Shepton Mallet, LandAlive kicks off at the Bath & West Showground. This two-day event celebrates sustainability and land stewardship, offering a unique opportunity to engage with workshops, discussions, and exhibits aimed at a greener future.

Saturday, 23rd November

Creativity takes centre stage at the Somerset Rural Life Museum in Glastonbury, where the Ink Jam Angel Workshop invites participants to craft their own 3D angels using recycled materials. Your creations will join the 'Chorus of Angels' display in December, part of the museum's wider Christmas celebrations.

Meanwhile, in Wells, the United Voices concert unites the Glastonbury Male Voice Choir and PRP Contemporary Voices for an evening of soul-stirring music at St Thomas' Church. All proceeds will support Sounds Joyful, Glastonbury's dementia-inclusive music group.

In Shepton Mallet, LandAlive continues, offering an experience to dive deeper into sustainability initiatives.

Sunday, 24th November

Shepton Mallet is the place to be on Sunday, with the Shepton Mallet Sunday Market returning to the town centre. Browse an eclectic mix of vintage goods, handmade crafts, and delicious local produce while enjoying live music and workshops.

Don't miss the Tower Tours at Shepton Mallet Parish Church, where you can climb to the top for breathtaking views of the town and surrounding countryside.

No matter where you are in Somerset, this weekend promises an array of activities to enjoy. Whether you're soaking up Cuban music, supporting a local choir, or exploring a bustling market, there's plenty to keep you entertained.
