Simon Amstell and Rosie Jones lead huge Wells Comedy Festival 2025 line-up
Big-name comedians are heading to Wells this May as Wells Comedy Festival unveils a stellar second wave of acts, including Simon Amstell, Rosie Jones, Glenn Moore, Michael Akadiri, and Thanyia Moore.
The festival, running from 23-25 May, promises a packed weekend of stand-up, work-in-progress shows, and sell-out gala nights featuring some of the biggest names in comedy.
Among the highlights is Simon Amstell, the BAFTA-nominated comedian, writer, and former Never Mind the Buzzcocks host, who will be making his Wells debut. Also returning is Rosie Jones, star of Taskmaster, Live at the Apollo, and Trip Hazard, with a brand-new work-in-progress show.
Festival favourite Glenn Moore is back once again, while Rhys James—whose first show sold out—has added an extra date due to overwhelming demand. Critically acclaimed comedian Katie Norris brings her Farm Fatale show to Somerset, and Live at the Apollo star Thanyia Moore joins the line-up alongside Stand Up Sketch Show's Michael Akadiri.
They'll perform alongside an already impressive list of Edinburgh Comedy Award winners and nominees, including Amy Gledhill, Joe Kent-Walters, Catherine Bohart, Jessica Fostekew, Chris Cantrill, Nick Helm, and Mat Ewins.
With Friday and Saturday night gala tickets selling fast, organisers are urging comedy fans to book soon. Simon Amstell's show goes on sale tomorrow (Friday, 14 February) at 10am, while most other shows are available to book now.
The full schedule and tickets can be found on the Wells Comedy Festival website.
