Drivers travelling between Wells and Shepton Mallet are being warned of delays at the end of October due to a two-day road closure in Croscombe.

Long Street will be closed from 9.30am to 3.30pm on 28 and 29 October while Wessex Water repairs a damaged manhole cover in the middle of the road.

The closure will cover a 24-metre stretch from the junction with Back Lane to the junction with Duncart Lane. A diversion will be in place, directing traffic via Old Wells Road and St Peter's Road.

Motorists are urged to plan their journeys in advance and expect delays during the closure.
