Drivers travelling between Wells and Shepton Mallet are being advised to expect delays next week due to a two-day road closure in Croscombe.

Long Street will be closed from 9.30am to 3.30pm on 28 and 29 October while Wessex Water carries out repairs on a damaged manhole cover.

The closure will affect a 24-metre stretch from the junction with Back Lane to the junction with Duncart Lane.

A diversion will be in place, directing traffic via Old Wells Road and St Peter's Road. Motorists are encouraged to plan their journeys in advance and anticipate delays during the closure.
