Property Fire at Chamberlain Street, Wells

Date: 04.08.2019Time: 11:37Location: Chamberlain Street, WellsThe Fire Service received several calls for a Property Fire in the above area. Fire Appliances from Wells, Shepton Mallet and Glastonbury were mobilised to this incident.On arrival, crews confirmed a fire in a flat of a two storey building. 11:51 Crews made pumps four and requested the Incident Command Unit and an Aerial Ladder Platform to be mobilised. The 4th pump was mobilised from Shepton Mallet, Incident Command Unit from Street and the Aerial Ladder Platform from Bridgwater.12:02 Fire crews at work with four Breathing Apparatus, one Safety Jet and one Attack Jet. Gas and Electric have been isolated to the building.12:11 Make pumps six for personnel - additional appliances from Castle Cary and Cheddar were mobilised.12:44 A request for Yeovils Aerial Ladder Platform to be mobilised. 12:58 Crews at work with four Breathing Apparatus, two Hose Reel Jets.15:09 The Aerial Ladder Platform is at work dampening down hot spots.The incident is to be scaled down shortly to three Fire Appliances and the Aerial Ladder Platform. Further details to follow....
