Police in Wells have issued a warning to motorists after reports of people driving without tax, MOT, insurance, or a valid licence in and around Wells.

Officers from the Wells Neighbourhood Policing Team say they will be stepping up patrols in the area to identify those responsible and take action.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "Driving without the necessary tax, MOT, or insurance is illegal and puts other road users at risk.

We will be patrolling the area to identify and deal with offenders appropriately. If you have concerns about uninsured or unroadworthy vehicles, please report them to us via 101."

Residents who spot suspicious activity involving vehicles are urged to contact the police. Calls can be made to 101, or reports can be submitted online via the Avon and Somerset Police website.
