Police appeal for witnesses after crash near Wells

Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for witnesses following a two-vehicle crash near Wells yesterday morning (Tuesday, 17 December).

The collision, involving a white Mercedes Vito and a red Vauxhall Insignia, occurred on the B3135 at Wells Hill Bottom near Green Ore at around 6.20am.

One person was taken to hospital with injuries described as neither life-threatening nor life-changing.

The road was closed in both directions while police examined the scene and the vehicles were recovered, reopening at around 10am.

Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or has relevant dashcam footage to come forward.

A police spokesperson said: "If you have any information or footage which could help, please call 101 and give the reference 5224403465."
