Police appeal for help after up numerous cars in Wells are damaged

Police in Wells are appealing for local help following a number of criminal damage incidents in the city.

A number of parked vehicles were damaged overnight, eye witnesses say over ten cars, with wing and door mirrors broken off and smashed.

The incidents happened in the West Street, Rowdens Road and Southover area of the city

PC Darren Pearson commented : " We are keen to hear from anyone whose car may have been damaged, who has not reported the incident to us. The incidents may have taken place in other streets over a number of days."

It has been reported that one local garage has re-opened after the Christmas break early, just to deal with the volume of car repair work needed.

Police are also keen to hear from anyone who may have any house CCTV footage of the suspects vandalising the cars.
